TABOU1 is proud to present Roots Natty, a treasure trove of rare tracks from one of reggae’s most iconic groups, The Gladiators. These songs were recorded during reggae's golden era, from 1977 to 1979, a time when the genre was shaping global music culture.
During this period, alongside other reggae giants like Culture and Burning Spear, The Gladiators crafted unforgettable arrangements to match their deep, thoughtful compositions. With Albert Griffiths and Clinton Fearon at the helm, their lyrics transported listeners to a mystical land where peace reigned, Rastafari thrived, and the chaos of Babylon was left far behind.
The majority of the tracks on Roots Natty are rare Jamaican singles, featuring mixes that are harder, heavier, and more dub-infused than their album released in the West at the same time. Originally released in small, exclusive batches in Jamaica, these singles have been carefully restored and remastered, preserving their raw, authentic energy for a new generation of Reggae lovers.
With the authorization of the Gladiators, St Elizabeth, Jamaica

Karo Glazer, called “a true singing asset and the best Poland has to offer”, an artist with a four-octave expressive voice and endless musical imagination, whose talent was appreciated by Tom Waits and members of Coldplay during Songwriting Competition, announces her third – and first independent—album, #LadyDynamite.
Karo Glazer is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and music producer all the same time. She also wrote music for theatre plays and ballet. She played and recorded with both jazz and rock musicians, such as Lars Danielsson, Mike Stern, John Taylor, Klaus Doldinger, and multiple Grammy-winning producers Martin Walters (Esperanza Spalding, Spyro Gyra, Dianne Reeves) and Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, Rainbow, Mr Big), with whom she produced also “#LadyDynamite”.
After years of performing vocal jazz and releasing “Black Sun” (7’ vinyl - the first single from her newest album with solar foil cover) Karo returns with a powerful LP and delivers a euphoric brass arrangement like Blood Sweet and Tears, trance groove like Muse, guitars like Jack White and 6/8 ballad. Her explosive voice expresses a full range of her emotions. Her highly engaging lyrics are rich and remarkable in their storytelling. and she sure is shaking it up. It’s classy but it’s rough at the same time, sprinkled with psychedelic influences based on alternative, pop and jazz roots.

Our concert at Thalia Hall in March was a special night. Just a few months before, we had played a sold out night in Chicago at the Empty Bottle. The crowd was so enthusiastic and the demand to get into that show was so high that we knew that Chicago was an important place for our music. A few months before that, we were still playing little bars and dance parties all over the city of Los Angeles and had no experience playing much outside of LA.
Having graduated to playing big theaters within a span of about 6 months, we had a strong desire to keep the energy of the tightly packed dance clubs in LA that shaped our music, no matter where we were playing. We accomplished that at Thalia Hall. We built a round bright red stage and put it right in the middle of the room. The hall was completely packed, and there were people on all sides of the round stage dancing and screaming loudly, even getting up on stage with us and dancing for certain songs.
Jacob Butler (sometimes referred to as the 4th member of LA LOM) has recorded all of the videos we have made from the start. He was there with us at Thalia Hall, shooting from all sides of the stage and capturing the crowd as well. We had a crew recording the whole thing on tape. What we were left with was really great live footage from one of our most exciting shows to date, and incredibly well recorded audio of the whole thing. It’s a combination of original songs (some of which were released on our debut LP later that year, some which haven’t been released yet) along with covers of classic cumbia from Colombia, Peru, and Mexico, along with an old soul ballad from Smokey Robinson. This is a lot of the music that shaped the sound of LA LOM.
